We have developed a team of highly skilled OB/GYN physicians/surgeons, certified nurse midwives, nurse practitioners, and a physician assistant.

 

Dr. Kathryn Arendt

 

Kathryn Arendt

Kathryn Arendt, MD, received her medical degree, cum laude, from the University of Missouri-Columbia. She completed a residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of New Mexico then completed a two year fellowship in pelvic reconstructive surgery at Virginia Mason Medical Center in Seattle.

Dr. Arendt is board certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology since 1998. She is a member of the American Urogynecology Society,  the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology and the American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists.

Dr. Arendt has been a leader at Evergreen Hospital Medical Center in promoting a multidisciplinary approach to treatment of women with pelvic floor disorders. She is the medical director of the Center for Continence and Pelvic Health at Evergreen Hospital.   She founded and co-directs a multidisciplinary conference at Evergreen Hospital on pelvic floor disorders.

She is also a frequent speaker, teaching health care providers and the public about pelvic floor disorders and available treatment options.  She was  listed in Seattle Magazine's  "Top Docs"  for 2010 featuring the top five percent of physicians in the Greater Seattle area.

Dr. Arendt specialized in treating women with pelvic floor disorders and other gynecologic problems but no longer provides obstetrical care.  She has additional extertise in laparoscopic surgery and utilizes the da Vinci Robotic System.  Dr Arendt is now performing lapbioplasties and other vulvar/vaginal cosmetic procedures in the office setting.  She has had a long standing commitment to, and interest in, these delicate and precise surgeries and has been performing them for over 15 years.  Dr. Arendt has also trained in the FDA approved Pelleve skin reuvenation system and is excited to offer this service at the Center for Women;s Health.

 

 

 

Dr. Michele Delorit

Michele Delorit

Michele Delorit, MD received her medical degree from Oregon Health Sciences University in 1995. Her residency was completed at the University of Colorado Health Science Center. Prior to joining the Center for Women's Health at Evergreen in 2006, Dr. Delorit spent seven years practicing in California with the Permanente Medical Group. There she served on the Domestic Violence task force to help incorporate screening into healthcare practices. She was drawn to obstetrics and gynecology because it allowed her the opportunity to teach women about preventive health care and healthy lifestyle choices from adolescence through menopause. Her special interests include contraceptive counseling and management, HPV screening and prenatal care/obstetrics. She is happy to be returning to the Pacific Northwest.

 

  

 

Dr. Karen Wells

Karen Wells

Karen Wells, MD, earned her medical degree at Loma Linda University School of Medicine where she was elected president of her graduating class. She also earned membership in Alpha Omega Alpha, the honor society representing the top 10% of the class. She completed her OB/GYN residency at Loma Linda University Medical Center in Southern California in 1997 and became board certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology in 2001.  In September 2003, she was selected as one of the “Top Doctors” for Women in Seattle and in 2010, was selected as one of the '2010 Best Physicians in Washington'.  Again in 2011, she has been honored in "Seattle Super Doctors" featuring the top five percent of phsicians in the greater Seattle area. 

 Dr. Wells especially enjoys the close relationship with her patients. When patients participate in their own medical decisions there is a great exchange of information for lifelong good health.

 

  

 

Dr. Guoli Johnston

Guoli Johnston

Guoli Johnston, MD, graduated from Shangdong Medical University in 1982. She completed residencies both is Obstetrics and Gynecology as well as Gynecological Oncology. She was the Attending OB/GYN at Shandong Medical University Hospital until 1996.

From 1996 until 2002, she was a Research Fellow at Colombia University in New York where she studied vascular reconstructive surgery. She completed a second OB/GYN residency program in the United States at Monmouth Medical Center in New Jersey in 2007. She became board certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology in 2009.

The Center for Women’s Health at Evergreen welcomed Dr. Johnston to their practice in September of 2008. She practices full scope obstetrics and gynecology including laparoscopic surgery, infertility and high risk pregnancies. She has published papers on the use of hysteroscopies in the detection of uterine cancer and for infertility treatment as well as studies for the Journal of Reconstructive Microsurgery.

Dr. Johnston is fluent in both English and Mandarin and welcomes a diverse population to her practice.

 

 

Dr. Sheemain Asaria

Sheemain Asaria

Sheemain Asaria MD, MPH, is board certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology. She received her medical degree from Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center School of Medicine in 2003 and completed her residency in obstetrics and gynecology at University of New Mexico in 2007. Prior to joining the Center for Women’s Health at Evergreen, Dr. Asaria was in private practice in Orlando, Florida. During that time, she created an office based clinical urogynecology program, served as volunteer faculty at University of Central Florida School of Medicine, and instructed Ob/Gyn residents in surgical cases at Winnie Palmer Hospital.

The common thread in Dr. Asaria's educational pursuits has been her passion for women's health. In 1999, Dr. Asaria received a Master of Public Health degree at Tulane University School of Public Health and Tropical Medicine. She focused on reproductive health in an international setting. Her diverse experiences involved fieldwork experience in reproductive health in Guatemala, and public policy and education in ovarian cancer in Washington, DC.

Dr Asaria's clinical interests cover a wide spectrum of obstetrics and gynecology with a special interest in minimally invasive surgery. Her goal is to provide quality patient care in a compassionate manner and empower women to actively participate in their health care.

 

 

Dr. Amanda Gann

Amanda Dise

Amanda Dise, MD is native to Washington State.  After spending her childhood in Bellingham, Washington, she attended the University of Washington where she earned a B.S. in Bioengineering.  She continued her education at Dartmouth Medical School, graduating with an MD in 2006.  Dr. Dise recently completed her residency in Obstetrics &Gynecology at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Canter, a Harvard Medical School affiliate.  She is Board Eligible with the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology.

Dr. Dise performs general obstetrics and gynecology with special interests in minimally invasive surgery, laser surgery and vulvovaginal diseases.  She enjoys establishing long term relationships with her patients, learning their personal and healthcare goals and educating patients to help achieve these goals.

Outside interests include attending Sounders games with her family, hiking with her dogs and reading.

 

 

 Dr. Amy Tu

Amy Tu

Amy Tu, MD is board certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology since 2004.  She received her BS in structural engineering at the University of California, San Diego, her medical degree from Medical University of South Carolina in 1998, and then completed her residency at the University of Vermont in 2002.  She worked at New York University Downtown Hospital as a teaching physician while her husband completed his fellowship in pathology at Cornell University.  After two years in New York City, she and her husband decided to move to the Pacific Northwest to raise their family.  She practiced in Bellingham, Washington, for five years prior to moving to Seattle when her husband joined Virginia Mason.  Dr. Tu performs general obstetrics and gynecology with special interests in hysteroscopy and minimally invasive surgery.  She really enjoys the close relationship with her patients and feels privileged to be able to help women get the care they deserve and need.  One of her faviorite interests is helping women fix painful, heavy menses.  While not working, Dr. Tu enjoys being a mother to her three children, spending time with her husband, running her dog, and snowboarding.
